A Bit About Me
I'm a potter specialising in wheel-thrown stoneware, with the occasional foray into porcelain. Every piece I make is entirely handmade — from wedging the clay to the final firing. This hands-on process means no two pots are exactly alike; each one carries its own unique character and subtle differences.
Many of my pieces are hand-painted, often inspired by the intricate designs of ancient Kashan ceramics I’ve long admired at the V&A Museum.
I grew up in mid Wales and discovered pottery while studying at university. After several years working abroad, I returned to London and began teaching myself how to throw at a shared ceramics studio in Hackney. In October 2019, I set up my first studio at my sister’s house in Islington and began potting full-time.
Following a rewarding first year in London, I relocated to the Quantock Hills in the autumn of 2020, taking on an old friend’s pottery studio housed in a converted stable at Parsonage Farm in Over Stowey. I’ve recently moved into a new studio on the same farm — a space that continues to grow with me and my work.
