Shipping, Customs & Returns Policy
UK Shipping
Orders are dispatched from The Pottery within 3–4 days and sent via Royal Mail, Parcelforce, or a standard courier service (2–4 day delivery). Most larger parcels will require a signature.
If you’d like to arrange faster delivery, please email me in advance and I’ll do my best to accommodate or quote for an express service.
There is also a Collect from The Pottery option at checkout — please avoid using Apple Pay if selecting this, as it automatically adds a shipping address. Alternatively, email me to arrange collection and I can discount the shipping fee.
International Shipping
If international shipping is not available for your location at checkout, feel free to contact me via email or Instagram and I’ll be happy to provide a custom shipping quote.
Please note:
I’m unable to ship to countries within the EU.
International buyers are responsible for any customs duties or tariffs charged at their country’s border (typically 0–25%).
For orders shipping to the USA:
Orders shipping to the USA are typically subject to a 10% tariff plus standard import charges — around 15% in total once courier fees are included. I prepay customs duties when booking shipping, so you shouldn't face any additional charges on delivery. In the rare event that further customs charges are applied, these would be the responsibility of the buyer.
International orders are returnable minus the cost of return shipping and any duties incurred bringing the item back into the UK. The buyer is responsible for packaging the order safely for its return — please pack it as though it will be thrown down the stairs. As a general rule, if you can feel the edge of the pot through the box, it will likely break.
Gifts
If you’re buying a piece as a gift and want it sent directly to the recipient, just let me know. I’m happy to wrap it and include a handwritten note at no extra cost.
Returns
If you’d like to return a piece, please email me within 14 days of receiving your order (this only applies to UK orders).
Return postage is the buyer’s responsibility.
A full refund will be issued once the item arrives back safely.
I’m happy to offer packing advice if needed — just ask!
International returns: Customs charges and return shipping are non-refundable. Any import customs or fees charged upon re-entry to the UK will be deducted from your refund.
