Wheel-thrown in speckled stoneware clay, hand-painted with porcelain slip and cobalt slip decoration, then glaze-fired to 1250°C. Overpainted with 24 carat gold lustre and fired again to 780°C.

Lovely medium vase that could hold a very large bunch of sweetpeas, a medium bunch of dahlias or roses etc, or an average bunch from the shops. Each vase is unique, with small variations and gentle imperfections that reflect the handmaking process. This glaze can have some crazing/crackling where it’s thicker.
