Wheel-thrown in speckled stoneware clay, hand-painted with porcelain slip and cobalt slip detail, then glaze-fired to 1250°C.

This large bowl is a good large size, perfect for fruit/ large salads or sitting decoratively on a side table. The design draws inspiration from ancient Greek, Roman, and Persian pottery, with a touch of Delft influence. Every element has been painted freehand, with sgraffito detail etched in using a fine pin blade.

There is some crazing—very fine crackle lines from the glaze cooling quickly in the kiln. These are only visible in certain lights and do not affect the structure of the piece. Please see the close-up images for more details.
