Thrown on the wheel, this lamp base is made from warm terracotta clay, painted with white slip and finished with a soft crackle glaze. Up close the surface reveals a delicate eggshell crackle, with gentle brush marks in green copper oxide and glimpses of terracotta showing through beneath.
Fitted with an antique brass bayonet light fitting and flax-fibre flex.
