Thrown on the wheel in speckled stoneware and a pulled handle, painted with slips and underglazes inspired by Ottoman Iznik 17thC pottery. Glaze fired to 1250°C. The decoration has been over-painted with 24carat gold lustre and re-fired in the kiln. They can pair nicely with the other single candlesticks in the same style, not an exact match, you can see in the last picture all the singles together.

Handwash only, do not use abrasive surfaces or products on the gold. To remove wax hand wash with hot soapy water and a sponge. The iron in the clay can cause the surface to be rough in parts, and small bits of superficial crazing are dotted around.
