Thrown on the wheel and fired to 1100°C, this lamp base is made from warm terracotta clay left completely raw and unglazed. Painted with cobalt brush work decoration, when fired it’s a deep, rich black/blue. The surface retains the natural softness and tactility of the material—simple, earthy, and quietly elegant.

Fitted with an antique brass bayonet UK light fitting and flax-fibre flex.

Shown here with lampshade (not included) from Ceau Store (medium size, 36 cm).
