Handmade tiles in terracotta clay, decorated with white slip and cobalt underglaze beneath a crackle glaze, inspired by 16th-century Delft tiles and Persian textiles, with an overpainted 24 carat gold lustre finish.

Sold as a second: this set of four has a crack in the bottom left tile, repaired from behind with Araldite. It's a structural fix rather than a cosmetic one, so the crack is mainly visible on close inspection rather than affecting how the tile holds together — but it's worth knowing before you buy (see pics for details).

Care: Wipe with a damp cloth. Will need sealing with a tile sealer if used as a backsplash.
