Fired for over 86 hours in the groundhog-style climbing wood kiln belonging to Nic Collins in Dartmoor. Glazed in celadon, this small vase has been transformed by the firing — its surface rich with wood ash deposits, warm flashes of carbon trapping, and subtle variations that reward a closer look.

The vase is watertight and works beautifully both decoratively and functionally. It’s not too small — just the right size to hold a surprising amount of flowers, perfect for a posy from the garden or a few stems on the table.

Little scars on the side of the vase have been covered in bronzed 24 carat gold lustre and re-fired in an electric kiln.
