Wheel thrown in speckled stoneware clay, hand-painted in porcelain slip and blue leaf cobalt slip. Glaze fired to 1250°C. Inspired by a 12thC Kashan bowl in the V&A, I’ve been playing with the leaf ideas for the last couple of years, all are individually hand-painted freehand with a natural-haired brush.

Every piece is unique and will have little imperfections here and there. The iron in the clay can cause the surface to be rough in parts.
