Wheel thrown in speckled stoneware clay, hand-painted in porcelain slip and coloured underglazes. Glaze fired to 1250°C. Overpainted in 24-carat gold lustre and refired to 800°C.
Inspired by ancient Persian and Ottoman ceramics, individually hand-painted freehand with a natural-haired brush.
Every piece is unique and will have little imperfections here and there, please see close-up pics for more details of the finish. The iron in the clay can cause the surface to be rough in parts. This watertight vase can be used for flowers or sitting proudly with its lid.
