Wheel thrown in speckled stoneware clay, hand-painted in porcelain slip and blue leaf cobalt slip. Glaze fired to 1250°C. This platter is pretty big, fab for serving up huge delicious dishes, as a fruit platter or even hanging on the wall.

Inspired by a 12thC Kashan bowl in the V&A, I’ve been playing with the leaf ideas for the last couple of years, all are individually hand-painted free hand with a natural haired brush.

Every piece is unique and will have little imperfections here and there. The iron in the clay can cause the surface to be rough in parts, and small bits of superficial crazing are dotted around.

Hand-wash only - (you wouldn’t get these in a dishwasher)
