Thrown on the wheel, this lamp base is made from warm terracotta clay, painted with white slip, hand-painted cobalt stripes and finished with a soft crackle glaze. From a distance it appears quietly white, but up close the surface reveals a delicate eggshell crackle, with gentle brush marks and glimpses of terracotta showing through beneath.

Fitted with an antique brass bayonet light fitting and flax-fibre flex.
