Thrown on the wheel, this lamp base is made from white stoneware clay, painted with eggshell white slip, hand-painted light cobalt stripes and finished with a semi-crackle glaze.

This piece is a second. Due to a fast drying the base had a stress crack which i have filled with Kintsugi gold. Strong and functional its just an aesthetic blip, see pics for closeup details.

Fitted with an antique brass bayonet light fitting and flax-fibre flex.
