Thrown on the wheel, this lamp base is made from warm terracotta clay, painted with white slip and finished with a soft crackle glaze. From a distance it appears quietly white, but up close the surface reveals a delicate eggshell crackle, with gentle brush marks and glimpses of terracotta showing through beneath. Simple, soft, and easy to live with.

Fitted with an antique brass bayonet light fitting and flax-fibre flex.
