Wheel-thrown in speckled stoneware clay, this bowl is hand-painted using porcelain slip with green slip detailing, then glaze-fired to 1250 °C.

Generously proportioned, it is well suited for fruit, large salads, or as a decorative centrepiece on a side table. The design draws inspiration from 12th-century Kashan ceramics, with every element painted freehand. Fine sgraffito details are carefully etched into the surface using a pin blade.

The glaze has been applied thickly, resulting in areas of natural craquelure reminiscent of historical ceramics from over 900 years ago. This crackling is purely aesthetic and does not affect the structural integrity of the bowl.
