Wheel-thrown in speckled stoneware, hand-painted with porcelain slip and green leaf underglaze slip, glaze-fired to 1250°C.

A very large bowl — fantastic for serving up big, generous dishes, as a fruit bowl, or simply sitting pretty on a sideboard.

Inspired by a 12th-century Kashan bowl in the V&A, I've been playing with this leaf design for the last couple of years. Each leaf is individually hand-painted freehand with a natural-haired brush.

Every piece is unique and will carry small imperfections. The iron in the clay can leave the surface rough in parts, with the occasional bit of superficial crazing dotted around.

Care: Handwash only.
