XL Blue Leaf Lidded Jar

XL Blue Leaf Lidded Jar
A one-of-a-kind statement piece, this XL lidded jar is wheel-thrown in speckled stoneware and painted freehand using a mix of porcelain slip and blue cobalt slip. The surface design — a delicate repeat of painted leaves — is inspired by a 12th-century Kashan bowl in the V&A, reinterpreted over several years of exploration.
Each motif is brushed on by hand with a natural-haired brush, giving every jar its own rhythm, energy, and imperfections that mark it as truly handmade.
The piece is glaze-fired to 1250°C, giving a durable, vitrified finish. Natural iron in the clay body may cause subtle surface roughness — these are part of the material’s character. Please see close-up images for individual glaze and texture details.
Use: watertight — can be used with or without the lid, as a vase or standalone decorative piece.
• Care: hand-wash only
